Spiders have long been considered a feminine symbol representing creativity, life, and weaving - often seen as "women's work". With the Spinner range, I have entwined spider symbology with Victorian ribbon embroidery, a popular past time of women designed to keep them busy while the men do serious things. Having developed the traditional method into a modern and repeatable motif, the ribbons reinforce each garment creating an impactful armour of tulle silk and ribbons.Â
The Orb bra is a full cup shape, replicating a vintage bra with a three section cup for nuanced fit from A-F cup. Made from delicate dotted tulle and stretch satin silk.Â
